The Infeed conveyor with one-side ejector changes the direction of logs from longitudinal to cross transfer. It is used to eject logs to one side only. The ejectors can be installed on both types of infeed conveyors (the ones with one or two chains). This type of conveyor usually follows after a log singulator 104, a step feeder 102 or an infeed conveyors with either one or two chains 106, 107. The construction shape of the conveyor is just the same as of the conveyors 106 or 107 but it is fitted with one-side ejectors of a different make.
We distinguish several types of ejectors:
Top revolving ejector (00708009-145, 02011024-35) is suitable for the wider infeed conveyor with two chains. The drive is electrical and the ejecting is fast. The frame of the ejector is situated over the infeed conveyor. The ejector revolves around its axis and so doesn´t have to move back to its start position.
Bottom swinging ejector – hydraulic (00814101-20) is suitable for the narrower infeed conveyor with one chain. The drive is hydraulic and the ejecting is slower. The ejector comes from under the infeed conveyor and has to return to its start position.
Bottom swinging ejector – electric (00810032-50-100) is suitable for the narrower infeed conveyor with one chain. The drive is electric and the ejecting is medium fast. The ejector comes from under the infeed conveyor and has to return to its start position.
Side hydraulic ejector arms (00812073-80, 00811053-03) are suitable mainly for the wider infeed conveyor with two chains. The drive is hydraulic and the ejecting is slower. The arms have to return to the start position.
Side revolving ejector (00715081-10) is suitable for the narrower infeed conveyor with one chain. The speed has to be regulated by the frequency converter. The drive is electrical and the ejecting is fast. The ejector revolves around its axis to reach the start position.
The length of the conveyor varies from 6 to 200 m. The speed can be regulated by the frequency converter. The following machine can be a bin for ejected logs 193, a buffer log deck 105, an elevator 103 or a cross chain conveyor 112.
